Berserkers FC Ψ were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Lyon 69ers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Melchor Garoa took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Melchor Garoa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guy Durant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Juan-Ramón Verón scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guy Durant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After taking down the ball on Berserkers FC Ψ's corner Melchor Garoa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Guy Durant quite easily take care of the ball. After 42 played minutes Lyon 69ers got a freekick which was hit by Reynald Baillou. After the first half Berserkers FC Ψ were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan-Ramón Verón stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Tom Beaune shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Gabrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berserkers FC Ψ's Ramiro Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Abeitia in the 58th minute of play. Juan-Ramón Verón might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guy Durant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan-Ramón Verón ran back to his position shaking his head. It was Hektor Liberoyiannis who took care of the corner kick. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Guy Durant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Lyon 69ers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guy Durant should have stopped the shot. Guy Durant had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Juan Ignacio Circelli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball In the 74th minute, Juan Ignacio Circelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guy Durant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Gerardo Abeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ramiro Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Juan Ignacio Circelli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guy Durant. Juan Ignacio Circelli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 91st minute, Antonin Lory ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Gabrio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. If Juan Ignacio Circelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 94 minutes into the match, Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Guy Durant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Ignacio Circelli. The Lyon 69ers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Berserkers FC Ψ's performance. The match ended with a win for Berserkers FC Ψ.
