Manchester United FC's Alfred Laulaja got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelio Di Lullo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taisto Pentsinen in the 8th minute of play. But to his dismay, Taisto Pentsinen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 12 played minutes Valdieri got a freekick which was hit by Fulvio Bozzelli. Eero Uusipaavalniemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelio Di Lullo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eero Uusipaavalniemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Valdieri defense, Eero Uusipaavalniemi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Di Lullo. The Valdieri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Di Lullo should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Eero Uusipaavalniemi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aurelio Di Lullo. The goal made the score 0-8. Alfred Laulaja struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Aurelio Di Lullo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Aurelio Di Lullo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Manchester United FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Valdieri's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eero Uusipaavalniemi took the corner. Aurelio Di Lullo was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Alfred Laulaja capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfred Laulaja really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. Eero Uusipaavalniemi struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Aurelio Di Lullo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. In the 73rd minute, Fulvio Bozzelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Di Lullo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdemar Kuoppala in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute, Manchester United FC's Eero Uusipaavalniemi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelio Di Lullo. Aurelio Di Lullo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. After 86 played minutes Valdieri got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Fortunato. Aurelio Di Lullo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pietari Puhakainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 98 minutes, Edoardo Cabrini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valdieri and the Manchester United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 98th match minute, Valdieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edoardo Cabrini to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Di Lullo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eero Uusipaavalniemi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-13 in the 99 minute of play. Manchester United FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
