Gerardo Lordi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Fernando Selatse skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gerardo Lordi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Fernando Selatse when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Witomir Pisarczyk came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andréas Hasselqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Ivănescu in the 30th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Fernando Selatse successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A sloppy throw-in by Igor Furtado in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Despidida AFC's Gabriel Silban. Andréas Hasselqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witomir Pisarczyk got free with Fernando Selatse in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Dinu Ivănescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pontus Nordström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Feliksas Fenichev hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Alvaro Raymond made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Santa Margarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Orixe to maneuver through the defense. Despidida AFC made a substitution. The corner led Despidida AFC's Gabriel Silban to fire away a dangerous shot which Pontus Nordström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Despidida AFC's Gabriel Silban managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Andreas Landgren in the 90 minute of the game. Arturo Arano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pontus Nordström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The Despidida AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Despidida AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
