Anibal Lluques started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Q. T. I.'s Anibal Lluques made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomás Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the match, Q. T. I.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Lupea came free, but Paulo Txatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Raymundo in the 16th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Thomás Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Txerran kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Petru to maneuver through the defense. Thomás Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Lluques in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Q. T. Julian Raymundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Linares having to interfere. When Victor Huștiu fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s protests and gave Victor Huștiu a yellow card for diving instead. Victor Huștiu hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Eleuterio Nuno was slow to take the kick. During this time Q. T. I.'s players had a chance to rest. Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Q. T. I. from getting a goal against them. Thomás Linares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anibal Lluques's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- players left disappointed.
