The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Markos Mavrikos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RIVER PINAMAR fc and the Deportivo Turro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Markos Mavrikos kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Leon Benet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIVER PINAMAR fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Turro the free kick. The supporters of Deportivo Turro booed when RIVER PINAMAR fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Benet didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Al Horford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to Deportivo Turro getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Al Horford hit a great ball. With a little luck, Deportivo Turro's Germán Luz got control of the ball when Gustavo Quentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Malcolm Stenman might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luciano Salomon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Malcolm Stenman ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute Malcolm Stenman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Salomon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Quentin in the 29th minute of play forced Deportivo Turro's goalkeeper Germán Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Eugenio Baristo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Malcolm Stenman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Salomon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 38th minute of the match, Aleksander Piszczor got a very nice opportunity to score, but Germán Luz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. RIVER PINAMAR fc's Eugenio Baristo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ernesto Txartiko, made in the 40th minute of the game. After 48 minutes of play, RIVER PINAMAR fc's Aleksander Piszczor made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Germán Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! RIVER PINAMAR fc's Philip Västerstrand was substituted for Aleksander Piszczor.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Quentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Deportivo Turro's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Quentin came free, but Germán Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
