Pål Sefastsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otto Norström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Pål Sefastsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fang Yang Fei's late challenge caught a National Team Cape-Verde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fang Yang Fei helped the player get up and apologised. Stig Busk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Carlos Alberto Tevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Busk having to interfere. With a little luck, Xentrias's Stig Busk got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto Tevez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as National Team Cape-Verde's Carlos Alberto Tevez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stig Busk. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. Roland Björklund made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fredric Melander immediately put the ball in play. After a rather tough play, National Team Cape-Verde's Yin Yang Wei got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Ana I hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Carlos Alberto Tevez made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Xentrias defense, Fredric Melander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stig Busk. The Xentrias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stig Busk should have stopped the shot. National Team Cape-Verde's Bennvar Post was substituted for Carlos Alberto Tevez. Otto Norström struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Pål Sefastsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xentrias. Rickard Söderberg charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rickard Söderberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th match minute, Xentrias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickard Söderberg to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Xentrias's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Bergqvist came free, but Stig Busk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Sellberg in the 75th minute of play forced Xentrias's goalkeeper Stig Busk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig Busk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bennvar Post, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Xentrias were furious when Bernabe Gonzalez was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Xentrias fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Stig Busk had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Tymoteusz Watarz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Stig Busk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bennvar Post in the 84th minute of the match. In the 84thth minute of the game Bennvar Post who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xentrias's Stig Busk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Bennvar Post had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stig Busk. Xentrias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bennvar Post was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Stig Busk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bennvar Post in the 98th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. National Team Cape-Verde had played much better football throughout.
