In the 92nd minute of the match, Abdi Revis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pål Sefastsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bengt-Arne Haglund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Pål Sefastsson made a huge save. 96 minutes into the game, Mats Hermansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vykans Vikingar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave National Team Cape-Verde the free kick. After some careless play in the Vykans Vikingar defense, Bennvar Post kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Ekrot. The Vykans Vikingar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Ekrot should have stopped the shot.
