The audience was convinced that Fredric Melander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lu Zhen Sheng was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredric Melander in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lu Zhen Sheng saved DREAM TEAM WORLD from getting behind. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as DREAM TEAM WORLD's Koča Kafarov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pål Sefastsson. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. In the 28th minute Fredric Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lu Zhen Sheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pål Sefastsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Koča Kafarov in the 29th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Koča Kafarov got free with Pål Sefastsson in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Koča Kafarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Sefastsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, National Team Cape-Verde's Yin Yang Wei got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 36 minutes, Yin Yang Wei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the National Team Cape-Verde and the DREAM TEAM WORLD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yin Yang Wei kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After some careless play in the National Team Cape-Verde defense, Koča Kafarov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pål Sefastsson. The National Team Cape-Verde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pål Sefastsson should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute Fredric Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lu Zhen Sheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

DREAM TEAM WORLD's Paulo Jon was substituted for Zachariasz Psotka. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Koča Kafarov to make the kick off. Koča Kafarov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rômulo Custódio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pål Sefastsson. National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When DREAM TEAM WORLD's Koča Kafarov in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye National Team Cape-Verde's goalie prevented a goal. Elpidio Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Sefastsson having to interfere. National Team Cape-Verde made a substitution. Klas Bergqvist replaced Fredric Melander. National Team Cape-Verde's Carlos Alberto Tevez was substituted for Bennvar Post. Waldemar Cardozo took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pål Sefastsson. Pål Sefastsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 80 minutes into the match, DREAM TEAM WORLD's Waldemar Cardozo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pål Sefastsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of DREAM TEAM WORLD booed when National Team Cape-Verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yin Yang Wei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute of the match DREAM TEAM WORLD got a corner. National Team Cape-Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Fabiano Castro ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 94th match minute, DREAM TEAM WORLD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Luiz Fabiano Castro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson did a great save. For all the effort they put into the match, the National Team Cape-Verde players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for DREAM TEAM WORLD.
