Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Lagerberg in the 10th minute of play. In the 16th minute Sebastian Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Kind of Blue were awarded a corner. Joacim Hansson went to the cornerflag to take it. 20 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Käller came free, but Holger Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Sebastian Käller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Holger Vester was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Käller in the 27th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hammarby IF booed when Kind of Blue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Sebastian Käller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Holger Vester. Hammarby IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Käller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Joel Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Hammarby IF's Isaltino Paes got a free kick in the 38th minute. Holger Vester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Käller, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44thth minute of the game Sebastian Käller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammarby IF's Holger Vester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute, Zhuo Ke Le hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Käller was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Kind of Blue booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holger Vester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Käller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Sebastian Käller notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Hammarby IF's Holger Vester. Holger Vester was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Holger Vester came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller. But to his dismay, Sebastian Käller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Kind of Blue made a substitution. Östen Högman replaced Zhuo Ke Le. In the 68th minute of the match Kind of Blue got a corner. Hammarby IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joacim Hansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kind of Blue's Wilhelm Galle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Hök in the 73rd minute of play. Kind of Blue's Horea Boian was substituted for Anastasios Pallini. Holger Vester came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller. But to his dismay, Sebastian Käller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Sebastian Käller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Holger Vester having to make a save. Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Käller in the 86th minute of play. If Sebastian Käller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Holger Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Käller in the 89th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Isaltino Paes in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kind of Blue's Epifanio Aznar. After 92 minutes of play, Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Holger Vester was left in no man's land by his defense there!
