Hans Blom scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Wiese, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olof Soned's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Wiese read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Olof Soned blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tim Wiese having to make a save. Tim Wiese made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olof Soned in the 10th minute. Gunnar Ersman's late challenge caught a SV Bad Harzburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunnar Ersman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when BK Tåfjutt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Ersman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to BK Tåfjutt getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gunnar Ersman hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Hans Blom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Wiese made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Olof Soned sent off a good shot on target. Roswin Schön fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Villiam Trillkott having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Marc Richter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Bad Harzburg and the BK Tåfjutt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Marc Richter. 35 minutes into the game, Olof Soned was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BK Tåfjutt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Bad Harzburg the free kick. In the 35th match minute, BK Tåfjutt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Soned to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Ralph Klüpfel. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olof Soned in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Wiese saved SV Bad Harzburg from getting behind. Tim Wiese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Ulf Lindqvist from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Tim Wiese's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Olof Soned who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Tim Wiese when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tim Wiese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BK Tåfjutt's Gunnar Ersman quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Willi Rau, made in the 46th minute of the game. SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Soned in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marc Richter made a kick off. After a rather tough play, SV Bad Harzburg's Klaus Vielhaus got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when BK Tåfjutt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Ersman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, BK Tåfjutt's goalkeeper Villiam Trillkott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Rambo. When BK Tåfjutt's Olof Soned in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in SV Bad Harzburg's zone, Olof Soned stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Wiese came out of the goal and Olof Soned tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute Olof Soned shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Wiese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Blom in the 79th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Blom came free, but Tim Wiese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BK Tåfjutt were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after SV Bad Harzburg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mattias Petersson took the corner. BK Tåfjutt's Mattias Petersson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tim Wiese in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tim Wiese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Blom, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some careless play in the SV Bad Harzburg defense, Olof Soned kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tim Wiese. The SV Bad Harzburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tim Wiese should have stopped the shot. After 96 played minutes BK Tåfjutt got a freekick which was hit by Hans Blom.
