The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Lima Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Salvador Trigueiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liviu Sbârcea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Fagundes having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorato Amaral in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Ove Andersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karl-Ove Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Hobjilă kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A hard shot by Leandro Meireles from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Karl-Ove Andersson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Lima Team getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Filipe Câmara hit a great ball. Lima Team's Honorato Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Costin Dichiseanu got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Adão Pádua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karl-Ove Andersson. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adão Pádua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Karl-Ove Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Amaral in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Robert Uncheşu got a free kick in the 30th minute. Adão Pádua in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl-Ove Andersson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 31 minutes into the game, Adão Pádua lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Karl-Ove Andersson. 34 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Amaral came free, but Karl-Ove Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delfim Passos got free with Karl-Ove Andersson in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adão Pádua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Karl-Ove Andersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Robert Uncheşu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Delfim Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Lima Team's Honorato Amaral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Karl-Ove Andersson. Karl-Ove Andersson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorato Amaral was the one to do the kick off. When Lima Team's Honorato Amaral in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalie prevented a goal. Horaţiu Hobjilă hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Lima Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Ove Andersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filipe Câmara kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Delfim Passos hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When Lima Team's Adão Pádua in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Karl-Ove Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Vivaldo Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Honorato Amaral notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Karl-Ove Andersson. Karl-Ove Andersson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karl-Ove Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adão Pádua, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Lima Team's Salvador Trigueiro got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
