The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Washington Sarmento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Fagundes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Paulo Fagundes came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Brasiliense FC's Washington Sarmento. But to his dismay, Washington Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Xuacu Xuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 minutes, Washington Sarmento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brasiliense FC and the Lima Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. Washington Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Xuacu Xuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honorato Amaral's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Lima Team's goalkeeper Paulo Fagundes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Augusto Chaves. The audience was convinced that Adão Pádua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xuacu Xuan was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Brasiliense FC's Xuacu Xuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Amaral in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Lima Team booed when Brasiliense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lei Xi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Brasiliense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Amaral came free, but Xuacu Xuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xuacu Xuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Meireles in the 29th minute of the match. Brasiliense FC's Xuacu Xuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adão Pádua in the 32nd minute of play. Cris Bala hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Honorato Amaral's late challenge caught a Brasiliense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorato Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. 44 minutes into the match, Lima Team's goal looked a bit too open when Kılıç Kerim came free, but Paulo Fagundes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Artur Caneira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Brasiliense FC's Paulo Fagundes threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Washington Sarmento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Paulo Fagundes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Sarmento in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Augusto Chaves was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Lima Team's Adão Pádua got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Adão Pádua came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Lima Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adão Pádua couldn't finish the play. Pedro Augusto Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Fagundes having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Kılıç Kerim made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Fagundes. Lima Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adão Pádua during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulo Fagundes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Sarmento in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Lima Team's Honorato Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xuacu Xuan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luís Fernando Freitas hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Xuacu Xuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honorato Amaral's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Lima Team's Paulo Fagundes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kılıç Kerim in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Washington Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Fagundes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Brasiliense FC's Pedro Augusto Chaves in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lima Team's goalie prevented a goal. Leandro Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuacu Xuan having to interfere.
