The audience thought a goal was coming when Nazeer Mhlathe got free with Lorenz Ureta in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute of the match, Szczepan Szablewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lorenz Ureta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zlatan Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eguzki Montecino in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax Colombiano's zone, Gunnar Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenz Ureta came out of the goal and Gunnar Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atakan Cire kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes in the game Wiktor Hodyl after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Lorenz Ureta.
