FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Eguzki Montecino scored to the left of an out of position Karl-Ove Andersson, making the score, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Ajax Colombiano's Eguzki Montecino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Karl-Ove Andersson. Karl-Ove Andersson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With 16 minutes on the clock, Errapel Aguiluz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax Colombiano's zone, Mihai Odobescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenz Ureta came out of the goal and Mihai Odobescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Baba Ba took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Karl-Ove Andersson to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Ajax Colombiano's Hector Ferman got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tudor Bărbânță in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lorenz Ureta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baba Ba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Karl-Ove Andersson made a huge save. In the 38th minute, Baba Ba reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl-Ove Andersson. The goal made the score 5-0. In the 46th minute Tudor Bărbânță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenz Ureta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Ajax Colombiano's Lorenz Ureta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Ajax Colombiano from getting a goal against them. Gigi Câmpeanu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Ferman came free, but Karl-Ove Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Karl-Ove Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florinio Corro in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Alin Agud hit a great ball. Karl-Ove Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baba Ba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Ove Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Ba, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Karl-Ove Andersson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baba Ba's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Tudor Bărbânță who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Lorenz Ureta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Benat Domene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Baba Ba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Ove Andersson was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Alin Agud hit a great ball. Karl-Ove Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Ba, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Benat Domene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Ove Andersson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baba Ba's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ajax Colombiano fully deserved thier win.
