Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Despidida AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Raymond in the 20th minute of play forced MDQ Raptors FC's goalkeeper Cosme Francesco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alvaro Raymond came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Despidida AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Raymond couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Järvenperä made the kick off in the second half. Alvaro Raymond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cosme Francesco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosme Francesco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Alvaro Raymond blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosme Francesco having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Raymond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Francesco was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 64th minute, Alvaro Raymond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Emiliano Velasco replaced Alvaro Raymond. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was substituted for Kajetan Gdowik. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiliano Velasco in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosme Francesco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute Dinu Ivănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Francesco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute Despidida AFC were awarded a corner. Emanuel Lucila went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino to fire away a dangerous shot which Cosme Francesco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MDQ Raptors FC's goalie prevented a goal.
