The Last Try
Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. C.A.Independiente's Gavril Bosioc quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eliseo Bernabel, made in the 4th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heigo Luiga in the 5th minute of play forced El ultimo's goalkeeper Vladimiro Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buford Lim made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Vasile Pisculescu sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Misaki in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Socorro saved El ultimo from getting behind. Buford Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Pisculescu in the 13th minute of the match. After 21 minutes, Heigo Luiga made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. El ultimo's Vladimiro Socorro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vladimiro Socorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heigo Luiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, El ultimo's Vasile Pisculescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Buford Lim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when El ultimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Carlomagno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimiro Socorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Misaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Misaki in the 33rd minute of play forced El ultimo's goalkeeper Vladimiro Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ramon Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buford Lim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vasile Pisculescu's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After 43 minutes, Eliseo Bernabel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El ultimo and the C.A.Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, El ultimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Bernabel to maneuver through the defense. Tom Misaki charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tom Misaki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramon Ignatius to strike the kick off in the second half. C.A.Independiente's Buford Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Pisculescu in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th match minute, C.A.Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Gonsalve to maneuver through the defense. Ramon Ignatius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Tom Misaki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buford Lim came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by El ultimo's Ke Xiang. But to his dismay, Ke Xiang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 71st minute Heigo Luiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Socorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El ultimo made a substitution. Bernabe Lucero replaced Ke Xiang. El ultimo made a substitution. Felipe Venceslas replaced Serafino Ignazio. In the 76th minute of the match C.A.Independiente got a corner. El ultimo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernardino Gonsalve ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Bernardino Gonsalve got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vladimiro Socorro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 77th match minute, El ultimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Bernabel to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, C.A.Independiente's Fabian Ipar got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Fabian Ipar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buford Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Ignatius in the 82nd minute of play. When C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El ultimo's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quentin Holman in the 86th minute of play forced El ultimo's goalkeeper Vladimiro Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to El ultimo getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Eliseo Bernabel hit a great ball. Buford Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Pisculescu in the 92nd minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
