Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Santiago Mino started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Marcelino Chaime could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. Victorino Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Elivareo in the 7th minute of play. Victorino Francis came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Abuba Akotonon FC's Cecilio Tristan. But to his dismay, Cecilio Tristan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute Marcelino Chaime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Marcelino Chaime sent off a good shot on target. Cecilio Tristan might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victorino Francis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cecilio Tristan ran back to his position shaking his head. Victorino Francis came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Abuba Akotonon FC's Cecilio Tristan. But to his dismay, Cecilio Tristan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 36th minute Emanuel Aurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Elivareo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Hugo Orlando Gatti was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcelino Chaime showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 41 minute of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palermo's goalkeeper Victorino Francis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Gonzalez in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cecilio Tristan was the one to do the kick off. Arnoldo Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Aurre. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Mino in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Gonzalez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Abuba Akotonon FC got a corner. Palermo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Genaro Elivareo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Palermo's goalie and right to Lance Veloz. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Palermo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Palermo's Victorino Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Tristan in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palermo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Genaro Elivareo was slow to take the kick. During this time Abuba Akotonon FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Abuba Akotonon FC's Genaro Elivareo to fire away a dangerous shot which Victorino Francis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 77th minute, Cecilio Tristan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorino Francis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Medina in the 81st minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palermo's Victorino Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Aurre in the 83rd minute of play. Palermo's Victorino Francis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Palermo from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Genaro Elivareo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palermo's Patryk Wiater was substituted for Marcelino Chaime. Abuba Akotonon FC's Emiliano Enol was substituted for Cecilio Tristan. In the 93rd minute, Arnoldo Medina made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. Abuba Akotonon FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Abuba Akotonon FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
