Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lisandro Nuñez started the match with the kick off. Victorino Francis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Nuñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 minutes Palermo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Shao Zhen Xiao who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Allan Blom got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Victorino Francis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lisandro Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Victorino Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes of play, SAN LORENZO FC's Lv Tian Yuan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victorino Francis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dario Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When SAN LORENZO FC's Lisandro Nuñez in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palermo's goalie prevented a goal. Marcelino Chaime struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Dario Astigar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palermo. Victorino Francis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Nuñez in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Nuñez in the 41st minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Victorino Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rafael Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half SAN LORENZO FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Dario Astigar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Lisandro Nuñez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victorino Francis. Lisandro Nuñez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 65 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Nuñez came free, but Victorino Francis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Santiago Mino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Dario Astigar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell was substituted for Lisandro Nuñez. SAN LORENZO FC's Isaias Rosario was substituted for Allan Blom. SAN LORENZO FC's Lv Tian Yuan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by William Bengtsson, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Victorino Francis stood somewhat misplaced when Ciriaco Cordarrell came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 75 minute. If Ciriaco Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Palermo's goalkeeper Victorino Francis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Quintas. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorino Francis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from William Bengtsson in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SAN LORENZO FC's Lv Tian Yuan. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Artur Quintas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Francis came out of the goal and Artur Quintas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciriaco Cordarrell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Francis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The Palermo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SAN LORENZO FC's performance. The match ended with a win for SAN LORENZO FC.
