Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The Independiente fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Independiente's Jorg Pieters looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, GARIBALDI FC's Benedicto Silbestre got a free kick in the 12th minute. Rene Llorian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorg Pieters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorg Pieters who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Rene Llorian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sören Bengtsson in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Llorian saved GARIBALDI FC from getting behind. When Guillermo Ezkerra fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GARIBALDI FC's protests and gave Guillermo Ezkerra a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes GARIBALDI FC got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Ezkerra. Sören Bengtsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorg Pieters got free with Rene Llorian in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Independiente's Pepe Santoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Silbestre in the 34th minute of play. Jorg Pieters who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Rene Llorian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pepe Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Colas in the 37th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Sören Bengtsson took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Rene Llorian to make any attempt to save it. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after GARIBALDI FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Napoleon Dropinski took the corner. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Reynaldo Abadia got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Ekain came free, but Pepe Santoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute GARIBALDI FC were awarded a corner. Astor Colon went to the cornerflag to take it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorg Pieters was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Abadia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Colas in the 51st minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute GARIBALDI FC were awarded a corner. Astor Colon went to the cornerflag to take it. GARIBALDI FC's Rene Llorian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sören Bengtsson in the 55th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Sören Bengtsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rene Llorian. GARIBALDI FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sören Bengtsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. GARIBALDI FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Figueroa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pepe Santoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Dubardo in the 87th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Silbestre kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
