In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Galarza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Internacional's Geronimo Rulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Recep Guftar in the 10th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Benet Rano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Galarza. Kalatakaya F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benet Rano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Luis Galarza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benet Rano in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Internacional getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marian Swoboda hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Michael Laudrup. Geronimo Rulli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Rodrigues went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Recep Guftar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kalatakaya F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 36th minute, Benet Rano made a precise shot to the right of Luis Galarza. Kalatakaya F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Recep Guftar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Rulli having to interfere. If Israel Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Kalatakaya F.C.'s Luis Galarza got control of the ball when Laércio de Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Geronimo Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Laércio de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Galarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Galarza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benet Rano in the 74th minute of the match. Geronimo Rulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Recep Guftar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Internacional made a substitution. Ege Deniz replaced Rafael Abarca. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Recep Guftar in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geronimo Rulli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Zigor Abeita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kalatakaya F.C.'s Luis Galarza did a great save. Kalatakaya F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
