Deyan Tătăruşanu came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by River CBBA's Argoitz Abeijon. But to his dismay, Argoitz Abeijon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Club Atlético Ciclon's Deyan Tătăruşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argoitz Abeijon in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Ciclon's goal looked a bit too open when Argoitz Abeijon came free, but Deyan Tătăruşanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Ciclon's Cordaro Abalos got a free kick in the 14th minute. Cordaro Abalos kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Argoitz Abeijon scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Deyan Tătăruşanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Funes in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Deyan Tătăruşanu saved Club Atlético Ciclon from getting behind. The supporters of River CBBA booed when Club Atlético Ciclon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Wayar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Ciclon's Deyan Tătăruşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boğaçhan Akyel in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Funes in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Deyan Tătăruşanu saved Club Atlético Ciclon from getting behind. Deyan Tătăruşanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Enrique, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, River CBBA's Juan Funes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Deyan Tătăruşanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Conal Mellon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Ciclon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River CBBA the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Club Atlético Ciclon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conal Mellon to maneuver through the defense. The Club Atlético Ciclon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. River CBBA were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Papo Abeitia to make the kick off. Argoitz Abeijon might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Deyan Tătăruşanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Argoitz Abeijon ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Papo Abeitia in the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Ciclon's Benino Abello got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched River CBBA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
