If Francis Stuart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Nicanor Ascencio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduard De Fretes went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Sportivo Chupeño booed when El Pulpo Paceño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svetoslav Genkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sportivo Chupeño's Aytek Subahi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Lluc in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Kamil Glik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goalkeeper Aytek Subahi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Onega.
