Jairo Abarca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Vollander, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Jairo Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jos Musseeuw in the 15th minute of play. After 17 minutes Dinamo Tirana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ingvar Vollander who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Algimantas Tarasevičius at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Dinamo Tirana. 0-2. In the 21st match minute, Dinamo Tirana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Martxelin to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute of the match Ingvar Vollander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jairo Abarca skillfully saved the ball. In the 35th minute, Zsolt Molnár made a precise shot to the right of Jairo Abarca. Dinamo Tirana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zsolt Molnár in the 40th minute of play forced Dinamo Tirana's goalkeeper Jairo Abarca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Abarca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jos Musseeuw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. With his leg Jairo Abarca managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Lamento Boliviano's Zsolt Molnár fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 68 minutes into the match, Dinamo Tirana's goal looked a bit too open when Zsolt Molnár came free, but Jairo Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christovao Abastas in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo Abarca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Christovao Abastas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Jairo Abarca managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Lamento Boliviano's Zsolt Molnár fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Neeme Kluge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Vergílio having to interfere. Dinamo Tirana's Giles Bartram was substituted for 范树正. Jairo Abarca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christovao Abastas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
