Víktor Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Jordy having to interfere. 17 de enero team's Fabian Costin got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zoran Simović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Gaspard in the 19th minute of play. Víktor Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Jordy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víktor Magalhães in the 33rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Quimeras Jrs.'s Elias Jordy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Quimeras Jrs. from getting a goal against them. 1-2 became the score in the 56th minute when Víktor Magalhães elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Joel Gamus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 de enero team's Zoran Simović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Gaspard in the 59th minute of play. Zoran Simović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Maiorga in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Orlando Maiorga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Zoran Simović was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejandro Gaspard in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zoran Simović saved 17 de enero team from getting behind. A collision led to 17 de enero team getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Isidoro Isidor hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Víktor Magalhães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Jordy was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Maiorga in the 82nd minute of play forced 17 de enero team's goalkeeper Zoran Simović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Víktor Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 17 de enero team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quimeras Jrs. the free kick.
