La Cosa Nostra's Arnaldo Perpinya was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniel Urbasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 27th minute, Silverio Cresencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, La Cosa Nostra's Hans Otterlei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daniel Urbasa. Daniel Urbasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 34th minute Hans Otterlei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Beila in the 40th minute of play forced La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Joel Delfino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

After 73 minutes, Silverio Cresencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Cosa Nostra and the Gladiadores players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when La Cosa Nostra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Delfino made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Blas Beila sent off a good shot on target. Marciano Bizen struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Daniel Urbasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Cosa Nostra. La Cosa Nostra's Joel Delfino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save La Cosa Nostra from getting a goal against them. Daniel Urbasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Bizen in the 95th minute of the match.
