Markus Svensson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuele Fioriti having to make a save. FK Ekebo's Emanuele Fioriti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Svensson in the 16th minute of play. Markus Svensson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Emanuele Fioriti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markus Svensson in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuele Fioriti saved FK Ekebo from getting behind. If Markus Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Markus Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 25 minutes into the match, FK Ekebo's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Svensson came free, but Emanuele Fioriti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FK Ekebo's Emanuele Fioriti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FK Ekebo from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute of the match Real Södertälje got a corner. FK Ekebo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reynaldo Cerezo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Södertälje's Markus Svensson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emanuele Fioriti. That made the score 3-0 after 30 minutes of play. 33 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Cerezo notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FK Ekebo's Emanuele Fioriti. Emanuele Fioriti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Urki Regalado struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Emanuele Fioriti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Södertälje. In the 40th minute, Urki Regalado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuele Fioriti was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. If Markus Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Svensson got free with Emanuele Fioriti in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Real Södertälje made a substitution. Nils-Åke Wickander replaced Urki Regalado. The wind increased when James Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. James Batistuta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Emanuele Fioriti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If James Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by FK Ekebo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reynaldo Cerezo was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Södertälje's players had a chance to rest. In the 75th minute James Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuele Fioriti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuele Fioriti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Batistuta in the 77th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the FK Ekebo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Södertälje.
