The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Valla Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Björkman came free, but Ulf Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulf Jakobsson came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Blueskatterna's Peter Björkman. But to his dismay, Peter Björkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The FC Blueskatterna fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when FC Blueskatterna's Peter Björkman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Alex Isaksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulf Jakobsson was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Ulf Jakobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredric Bergström kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. John Ambjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Ulf Jakobsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Björkman's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Ulf Jakobsson came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Blueskatterna's Kevin Fagrell. But to his dismay, Kevin Fagrell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peter Björkman to make the kick off. Peter Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ulf Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulf Jakobsson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Blueskatterna's Peter Björkman shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-8 in the ordered_time% minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Björkman couldn't finish the play. FC Blueskatterna made a substitution. Östen Wik replaced Joachim Bergman. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valla Fc's goalkeeper Ulf Jakobsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 72 minutes of play, FC Blueskatterna's Peter Björkman made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulf Jakobsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 75 minutes, Peter Björkman made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Valla Fc's Ulf Jakobsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Valla Fc getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Leif Lund hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Kevin Fagrell made a precise shot to the right of Ulf Jakobsson. Valla Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. 81 minutes into the game, Leif Lund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valla Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Blueskatterna the free kick. The supporters of FC Blueskatterna booed when Valla Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Lund didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Peter Björkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute Peter Björkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Blueskatterna booed when Valla Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Gadd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulf Jakobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Löv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Björkman in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulf Jakobsson saved Valla Fc from getting behind. Ulf Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Björkman in the 97th minute of play. In the 99th minute Peter Björkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Blueskatterna played a much better game than Valla Fc and deserved their victory. The Valla Fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
