The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Glemmingebro IF fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Glemmingebro IF's Harald Vallander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Camavinga got free with Sven Finsberg in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Magni Buffone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Lindgren in the 9th minute of play. After 11 minutes of play, Glemmingebro IF's Harald Vallander made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven Finsberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14thth minute of the game Harald Vallander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åbyggeby FK's Sven Finsberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Glemmingebro IF were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Åbyggeby FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Peter Sjöström took the corner. Eduardo Camavinga hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Sven Finsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Vallander in the 18th minute of play. Glemmingebro IF's Magni Buffone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Lindgren in the 20th minute of play. Sven Finsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Vallander in the 22nd minute of play. Harald Vallander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Sven Finsberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Harald Vallander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Sven Finsberg made a huge save. Holger Nordström kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald Vallander in the 34th minute of play forced Åbyggeby FK's goalkeeper Sven Finsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Harald Vallander took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Sven Finsberg to make any attempt to save it. In the 39th match minute, Åbyggeby FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Molander to maneuver through the defense. Sven Finsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Vallander in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ingemar Lindgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Åbyggeby FK were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Glemmingebro IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ingemar Lindgren took the corner. Åbyggeby FK's Ingemar Lindgren was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Magni Buffone in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sven Finsberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harald Vallander went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the match, Åbyggeby FK's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Arenius came free, but Sven Finsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Molander hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Glemmingebro IF's Kristian Arenstedt was substituted for Henning Flink. Åbyggeby FK made a substitution. Per-Arne Söderkvist replaced Erling Valler. Åbyggeby FK's Yngve Fridlund was substituted for Inge Tidén. Eric Molander hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Sven Finsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Vallander in the 75th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Åbyggeby FK defense, Harald Vallander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven Finsberg. The Åbyggeby FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven Finsberg should have stopped the shot. Glemmingebro IF's Magni Buffone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskar Billvall in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Glemmingebro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Pettersson came free, but Magni Buffone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Harald Vallander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven Finsberg. Åbyggeby FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harald Vallander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 89 minutes into the match, Glemmingebro IF's Eduardo Camavinga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven Finsberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 91 minutes of play, Glemmingebro IF's Harald Vallander made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven Finsberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! 95 minutes into the match, Harald Vallander notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Åbyggeby FK's Sven Finsberg. Sven Finsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Glemmingebro IF fully deserved thier win.
