The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Gagisha IF's zone, Karl-Oskar Pihlgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haşim Şahruh came out of the goal and Karl-Oskar Pihlgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 3 minutes into the game, Stig Collin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gagisha IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åbyggeby FK the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Stig Collin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 4 minutes, Lars Öberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åbyggeby FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Öberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aron Wennerlund got free with Sven Finsberg in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Arne Söderkvist during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gagisha IF's Szczepan Kolacki got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 38th minute, Sílvio Luís Correia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven Finsberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The goalkeeper, Haşim Şahruh, was totally fooled by Åbyggeby FK's Karl-Oskar Pihlgren, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 62 minutes into the match, Gagisha IF's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Öberg came free, but Haşim Şahruh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Karl-Oskar Pihlgren sped through Gagisha IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Haşim Şahruh. Karl-Oskar Pihlgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haşim Şahruh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Oskar Pihlgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Erling Valler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute Oskar Billvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haşim Şahruh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, Gagisha IF's Antero Soveral made it 4-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven Finsberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! 97 minutes into the game, Rune Lustig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-7. Haşim Şahruh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Åbyggeby FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
