The audience was convinced that Hector Hugo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pål Sefastsson was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Marius Neset was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pål Sefastsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Hector Hugo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pål Sefastsson to make any attempt to save it. After 25 played minutes National Team Cape-Verde got a freekick which was hit by Cris Montoia. If Hector Hugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aurel Crivoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 32nd minute of the match. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save National Team Cape-Verde from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Marius Neset hit a great ball. Aurel Crivoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Klas Bergqvist went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 38thth minute of the game Hector Hugo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Hector Hugo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pål Sefastsson, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Aurel Crivoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Bergqvist in the 52nd minute of play. Aurel Crivoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredric Melander in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Hugo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pål Sefastsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pål Sefastsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Hugo in the 68th minute of the match. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Offendahl in the 70th minute of play. In the 74th minute Bernt Offendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Sefastsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pål Sefastsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Hermansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
