Torgny Landin started the match with the kick off. In the 12th minute Dave Di Filippo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Källberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Hermanö Oilers got a corner. Boca Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Harel Minsky ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 17thth minute of the game Torgny Landin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermanö Oilers's Oskar Haeger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Harry Forsman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jens-Åke Källberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Dave Di Filippo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens-Åke Källberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hermanö Oilers's Oskar Haeger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerd Della in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Hermanö Oilers's Oskar Haeger got control of the ball when Torgny Landin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Dave Di Filippo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hermanö Oilers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Di Filippo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oskar Haeger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Xuan Nan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Hermanö Oilers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hermanö Oilers made a substitution. Hjalmar Askelöf replaced Patrik Holmberg. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ingemar Stålman to make the kick off. Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Stålman in the 61st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerd Della in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oskar Haeger saved Hermanö Oilers from getting behind. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Holger Blom hit a great ball. Boca Juniors's Rickard Löfgren was substituted for Per-Åke Lundberg. Boca Juniors's Jan Höijer was substituted for Özkan Kayaer. Hermanö Oilers's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
