In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Green Fairies's goalkeeper Harald Fridlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Mossberg came free, but Jens-Åke Källberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Green Fairies's Harald Fridlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torgny Landin in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes in the game Doru Răuțchi did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Per-Erik Juhlin. Harald Fridlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torgny Landin in the 21st minute. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Torgny Landin took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Harald Fridlund to make any attempt to save it. 25 minutes into the match, Torgny Landin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Harald Fridlund, 4-0. In the 29th minute, Jan Höijer fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Harald Fridlund, passed just outside the right post. With an all-out effort, Boca Juniors's Harald Fridlund threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jan Höijer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Torgny Landin might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harald Fridlund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Torgny Landin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute, Torgny Landin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Harald Fridlund. The goal made the score 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Torgny Landin made the kick off in the second half. Torgny Landin took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harald Fridlund. Harald Fridlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg got control of the ball when Leonardo Lindholm tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Green Fairies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Landin in the 62nd minute of play forced The Green Fairies's goalkeeper Harald Fridlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute Boca Juniors were awarded a corner. Vilhelm Holm went to the cornerflag to take it. The Boca Juniors fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Green Fairies had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
