Mikael Liberatore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but George Kristiansson made a huge save. Di Röe's Bedih Rafet quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mikael Liberatore, made in the 12th minute of the game. In the 14th minute, Jens Åkerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bayan Baye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. George Kristiansson came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Wargön's Mikael Liberatore. But to his dismay, Mikael Liberatore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Leif Svanström's late challenge caught a Wargön's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Svanström helped the player get up and apologised. Leif Svanström kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Wargön's Bayan Baye shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by George Kristiansson but with some difficulty. After having played for 26 minutes, Bengt-Rune Berg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Di Röe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt-Rune Berg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Wargön's Mikael Liberatore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Kristiansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 32nd minute Mikael Liberatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Wargön's Mikael Liberatore in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Di Röe's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Mikael Liberatore came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sten Melberg was the one to do the kick off. Sören Tunberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Melberg in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Sten Melberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sören Tunberg. The goal made the score 2-1. Di Röe's George Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayan Baye in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikael Liberatore in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Kristiansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Mikael Liberatore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Kristiansson was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Sören Tunberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Melberg in the 71st minute of the match. Sören Tunberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Melberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Wargön made a substitution. Nils-Arne Nilsson replaced Iwan Czeberowski. Di Röe's Arnaldo da Fonseca was substituted for Sten Melberg. In the 79th match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Svanström to maneuver through the defense. Gerard Tan kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 81stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Wargön's keeper Sören Tunberg was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 87 minutes into the match, Arnaldo da Fonseca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sören Tunberg, 2-2. 90 minutes into the match, Bayan Baye had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Kristiansson. Di Röe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bayan Baye was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. George Kristiansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bayan Baye went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. George Kristiansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nils-Arne Nilsson went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Wargön's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
