The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Mikael Liberatore came free, but Markus Nyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Hedberg to maneuver through the defense. Bayan Baye made in the 9th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Roger Stephansson however managed to control. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikael Liberatore in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Nyman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wargön's Mikael Liberatore got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Mikael Liberatore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Markus Nyman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Artur Buba made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Brothers of Mercy's Marcin Adamko. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Markus Nyman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute Brothers of Mercy were awarded a corner. 狄亦渊 went to the cornerflag to take it. A sloppy throw-in by Artur Buba in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brothers of Mercy's Marcin Adamko. Markus Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Liberatore in the 37th minute of the match. Wargön were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Brothers of Mercy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bayan Baye took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Artur Buba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Markus Nyman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Markus Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Liberatore, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Håkan Lindgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sören Tunberg having to make a save. Sören Tunberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Lindgren in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Brothers of Mercy's Roger Strömberg got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Mikael Liberatore came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Wargön fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Liberatore couldn't finish the play. Brothers of Mercy made a substitution. Kornél Ács replaced Roger Strömberg. After the first half Wargön were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Håkan Lindgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Markus Nyman was a little too slow when Mikael Liberatore got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Markus Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Liberatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wargön's Nils-Arne Nilsson was substituted for Iwan Czeberowski. Wargön's Ivar Siöberg was substituted for Mikael Liberatore. In the 73rd minute, Wargön's Bayan Baye ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Markus Nyman. Markus Nyman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Markus Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Arne Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Sören Tunberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Lindgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Markus Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Siöberg in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bayan Baye in the 89th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Markus Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Valler in the 91st minute of play forced Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 minutes Brothers of Mercy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bayan Baye who took care of the corner kick. Brothers of Mercy's Markus Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Siöberg in the 97th minute of play. Ivar Siöbergs short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Markus Nyman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ivar Siöberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 99thth minute tested the skills of Markus Nyman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Brothers of Mercy supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wargön's performance. The match ended with a win for Wargön.
