In the 6th minute, Cipriano Aguilera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nery Pumpido. The goal made the score 1-0. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Hats in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Sven-Edvin Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Edvin Jansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santos Orlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Edvin Jansson ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 17th minute of play forced El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Santos Orlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Brais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Stanyo Búnkov. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido got control of the ball when Delmar Manex tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute Zico Zellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Selmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After taking down the ball on El Fortín de Floresta's corner Lucio Stanislao fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nery Pumpido quite easily take care of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Hats came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Hector Selmo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nery Pumpido. GuateFortín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Selmo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1.
