Iacob Irimescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Frântu having to make a save. After the first half FC Steaua Pildesti were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dumitru Buzea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vali Dinculescu charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Dumitru Buzea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save F.C CLUJ MEDICINA from getting a goal against them. A collision led to F.C CLUJ MEDICINA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Iacob Irimescu hit a great ball. Mircea Isvoreanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dumitru Buzea having to make a save. When the match was over FC Steaua Pildesti could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than F.C CLUJ MEDICINA throughout the match.
