Nechifor Epure breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Emanuel Zbârciog fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Nechifor Epure was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gigel Bălan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 57 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Măgureanu in the 59th minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Nechifor Epure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
