The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when Fotbal Club Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Pescaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Vârjean in the 4th minute of play. If Liviu Mușătescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurel Halipa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vlad Covrig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Golo Phoenix sent off a good shot on target. After 20 minutes, Aurel Halipa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fotbal Club Vaslui and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fotbal Club Vaslui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Andrei Vârjean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute Liviu Mușătescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Covrig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víglundur von der Schulenburg kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the last second Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara throw himself and got hold of the ball when Golo Phoenix in the 40thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Mircea Jupân had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Golo Phoenix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fotbal Club Vaslui the free kick. After 46 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Golo Phoenix. Liviu Mușătescu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Golo Phoenix made the kick off in the second half. Andrei Vârjean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Vlad Covrig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Jupân, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Phoenix in the 61st minute of play forced Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Golo Phoenix notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Fotbal Club Vaslui's Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara. Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Jupân in the 66th minute of play forced Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgil Jupân's late challenge caught a Fotbal Club Vaslui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgil Jupân helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Jupân. Olimpiu Fecioru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Golo Phoenix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara having to make a save. After 76 minutes, Manole Pătran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fotbal Club Vaslui and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Pătran to maneuver through the defense. Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Virgil Jupân. But to his dismay, Virgil Jupân quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 81 minutes into the game, Iacob Grecescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fotbal Club Vaslui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca the free kick. In the 81st match minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iacob Grecescu to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Golo Phoenix notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Fotbal Club Vaslui's Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara. Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bjarnhéðinn de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Golo Phoenix, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Víglundur von der Schulenburg got a free kick in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fully deserved thier win.
