Remigio Salvator was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Garci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fidel Prieto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Vodka Stars 1949's Ermegildo Txurio threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ubarna Carro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ermegildo Txurio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubarna Carro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 41 played minutes Hydra got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Llorenc. If Lucio Arotza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prometeo Perpiñán stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hydra's Lucio Arotza got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Eliseo Oxarra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hydra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vodka Stars 1949 the free kick. A collision led to Hydra getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. In the 75th minute, Lucio Arotza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucio Arotza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Fidel Prieto made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Vodka Stars 1949's zone, Lucio Arotza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Prieto came out of the goal and Lucio Arotza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the match, Vodka Stars 1949's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Christobal came free, but Fidel Prieto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Astor Christobal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Fidel Prieto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hydra's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
