Efrain Baladi hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Edelmiro Peruxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Bortzaioriz in the 20th minute of play. Clodoveo Filipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Congo Bongo's Baltasar Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Lawrence in the 21st minute of play. The El retorno del Pincha fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when El retorno del Pincha's Abelardo Lawrence looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Congo Bongo's Baltasar Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Lawrence in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Congo Bongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Baladi to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clodoveo Filipo in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltasar Maria saved Congo Bongo from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Blai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edelmiro Peruxu was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 44th minute Abelardo Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Maria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Baltasar Maria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

He was immediately shown a red card. Baltasar Maria had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Abelardo Lawrence's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Congo Bongo getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Arsenio Maraman hit a great ball. Efrain Baladi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edelmiro Peruxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. El retorno del Pincha's Edelmiro Peruxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Baladi in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Telo in the 77th minute of play forced El retorno del Pincha's goalkeeper Edelmiro Peruxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Telo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edelmiro Peruxu having to make a save. In the 84th minute, Alvaro Ezkerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Ezkerra during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes El retorno del Pincha got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Ezkerra. When Jonatan Bortzaioriz got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Congo Bongo. Efrain Baladi kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Ruperto Pancho hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
