Bruno Sologuren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Baltasar Maria made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Blai got free with Florinio Manzor in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Congo Bongo booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lester Sanfuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Axel Véjar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Maria was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Cobresal's Florinio Manzor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Blai in the 88th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Jonatan Bortzaioriz took a quick shot and it went in 5-3 without a chance for Florinio Manzor to make any attempt to save it. 94 minutes into the game, Ramiro Blai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-4. Florinio Manzor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Congo Bongo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
