An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Lehior in the 8th minute of play forced Branco FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Nataniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Ismael Lehior made a precise shot to the right of Celedonio Nataniel. Branco FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Felipe Weterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Congo Bongo were furious when Amadeo Belmiro was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Branco FC. Felipe Weterio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Baltasar Maria. 1-1. Eusebio Nisio scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celedonio Nataniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ramiro Blai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Branco FC's zone, Jonatan Bortzaioriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Nataniel came out of the goal and Jonatan Bortzaioriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Branco FC booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Bortzaioriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Nisio in the 57th minute of play forced Branco FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Nataniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celedonio Nataniel was a little too slow when Jonatan Bortzaioriz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-3. Congo Bongo's Baltasar Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Quexal in the 69th minute of play. Faustino Eder kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Congo Bongo's Jonatan Bortzaioriz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Celedonio Nataniel. Celedonio Nataniel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. In the 81st minute Gualterio Quexal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Maria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godfredo Hermelando's late challenge caught a Congo Bongo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfredo Hermelando helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Blai got free with Celedonio Nataniel in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gualterio Quexal kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Ramiro Blai came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Congo Bongo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Blai couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Congo Bongo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Branco FC throughout the match.
