In the 12th match minute, OROTINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Abelardo Bartoli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GERLIROJO Ψ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Ambrosio Tomi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. OROTINENSE's Israel Contreras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Lia in the 28th minute of play. But to his dismay, Ambrosio Tomi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Israel Contreras came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by GERLIROJO Ψ's Severo Vachon. But to his dismay, Severo Vachon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The wind increased when Fabio Pacheco made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes GERLIROJO Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Lia. Israel Contreras stood somewhat misplaced when Severo Vachon came free in front of goal and shot 1-6 to the left of him in the 58 minute. After a rather tough play, OROTINENSE's Rodrigo Oviedo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 68th minute Mikael Viquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Abadie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match Chunche Azofeifa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Abadie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arnaldo Gaueko ran back to his position shaking his head. GERLIROJO Ψ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
