When Felix Hanschirik came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the FV Wienerwald fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Hanschirik couldn't finish the play. Anfilogino Alfonsi in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lionel Paly, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Emery Heller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Mallinger having to interfere. If Anfilogino Alfonsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jiang Yang Yuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Lionel Paly made a huge save. Marcel Mallinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tory Pryor, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tory Pryor in the 25th minute of play forced FV Wienerwald's goalkeeper Marcel Mallinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Jiang Yang Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Paly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, FV Wienerwald's goal looked a bit too open when Pirmin Jäggi came free, but Marcel Mallinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Téo Rosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Wil 1900 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Lionel Paly made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Klaus Adolphi sent off a good shot on target. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save FC Wil 1900 from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute, Felix Hanschirik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anfilogino Alfonsi was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Steffen Eisenheld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when FV Wienerwald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steffen Eisenheld didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger got control of the ball when Pirmin Jäggi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match, Pirmin Jäggi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcel Mallinger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emery Heller in the 59th minute of play forced FV Wienerwald's goalkeeper Marcel Mallinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 65 in the game by Alex Leisibach from a close distance when the talented Marcel Mallinger managed to make a qualified save. FV Wienerwald's players were relieved. Marcel Mallinger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emery Heller in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Yang Yuan in the 74th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Mallinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Leisibach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Alfonsi in the 84th minute of play. FV Wienerwald's Per Nienhaus was substituted for Jiang Yang Yuan. FV Wienerwald's Johnny Van Den Bosche was substituted for Anfilogino Alfonsi. In the 89th minute FC Wil 1900 were awarded a corner. Emery Heller went to the cornerflag to take it. Emery Heller came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcel Mallinger could save by the left post. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Hanschirik in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Wil 1900 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
