The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kiran Tomasini made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Artemio Lucian sent off a good shot on target. FC Temeswar Banat's Hüseyin Turan Aytolun managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gregorio Atauri in the 12 minute of the game. FC Temeswar Banat's Hüseyin Turan Aytolun got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrian Neubauer took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kiran Tomasini. Kiran Tomasini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Mino in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Temeswar Banat's goalkeeper Aimé Holtmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Trendafil Dzhendov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aimé Holtmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Simmen in the 26th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Fernando Morientes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aimé Holtmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aimé Holtmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Mino in the 38th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Adrian Neubauer took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Kiran Tomasini to make any attempt to save it. If Hüseyin Turan Aytolun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Luna to strike the kick off in the second half. Kiran Tomasini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Neubauer in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute Agapito Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kiran Tomasini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, FC Temeswar Banat's Trendafil Dzhendov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kiran Tomasini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Aimé Holtmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Simmen in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to FC Temeswar Banat getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Artemio Lucian hit a great ball. Gregorio Atauri made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by René Stocker. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agapito Diaz in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kiran Tomasini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agapito Diaz in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kiran Tomasini saved THE ROKERY PIMKIS from getting behind. In the 89th minute Adrian Neubauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kiran Tomasini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Osmundo during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benigno Osmundo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes FC Temeswar Banat got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Neubauer. The supporters of THE ROKERY PIMKIS booed when FC Temeswar Banat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Osmundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alessandro Finotti came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the THE ROKERY PIMKIS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Finotti couldn't finish the play. FC Temeswar Banat were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of THE ROKERY PIMKIS for a fine match.
