Éthan Pichard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toto Caputo having to interfere. In the 8th minute Silvestre Loi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toto Caputo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Éthan Pichard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Toto Caputo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Éthan Pichard got free with Toto Caputo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute, Toralf Hell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Giger in the 21st minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fire Devils's Toto Caputo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurek Ohrem in the 27th minute of play. SV Bad Harzburg were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Fire Devils's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jurek Ohrem took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurek Ohrem got free with Toto Caputo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, SV Bad Harzburg's Toto Caputo threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Éthan Pichard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 34th minute of the match SV Bad Harzburg got a corner. Fire Devils's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jurek Ohrem ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led SV Bad Harzburg's Jurek Ohrem to fire away a dangerous shot which Toto Caputo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 37th minute Ueli Siegenthaler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Matuch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Silvestre Loi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Bad Harzburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Loi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fire Devils's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Éthan Pichard scored to the left of an out of position Toto Caputo, making the score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurek Ohrem got free with Toto Caputo in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvestre Loi to strike the kick off in the second half. Samuel Giger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacek Matuch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Andreas Furcas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jacek Matuch made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Loi in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toto Caputo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nikita Bolla kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Andreas Furcas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Jacek Matuch made a huge save. Silvester Flück charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvester Flück the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th minute Éthan Pichard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toto Caputo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when Fire Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lajos Wenzel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Éthan Pichard came free, but Toto Caputo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toto Caputo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éthan Pichard in the 89th minute of the match. Silvestre Loi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toto Caputo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fire Devils players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SV Bad Harzburg.
