Kryspin Cupial made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Pekin Energin sent off a good shot on target. Prospero Goethe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Merlot, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. SSV Ulm 1846's attentive Alex Kopf managed to snatch the ball when Artur Schade made a throw-in in the 10th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Merlot in the 11th minute of play forced Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kryspin Cupial made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pekin Energin in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Kryspin Cupial had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lennard Rossmanith. With a little luck, SSV Ulm 1846's Kryspin Cupial got control of the ball when Lennard Rossmanith tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingemar Mense got free with Kryspin Cupial in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Prospero Goethe came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by SSV Ulm 1846's Don Merlot. But to his dismay, Don Merlot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Niclas Monschke managed to get in a good position for a shot. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters rose to their feet, but Niclas Monschke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Goethe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in SSV Ulm 1846's zone, Pekin Energin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kryspin Cupial came out of the goal and Pekin Energin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prospero Goethe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Merlot in the 29th minute of the match. Kryspin Cupial made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pekin Energin in the 30th minute. Kryspin Cupial made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pekin Energin in the 33rd minute. After 37 played minutes SSV Ulm 1846 got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Lilja. Pekin Energin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Kryspin Cupial made a huge save. The supporters of Friesenwerdermoor booed when SSV Ulm 1846 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albrecht Bosbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Gerhard Neoral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kryspin Cupial showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half SSV Ulm 1846 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Albrecht Bosbach took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Prospero Goethe to make any attempt to save it. Pekin Energin took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kryspin Cupial. Kryspin Cupial dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Niclas Monschke kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prospero Goethe. That made the score 1-3 in the 59 minute of play. SSV Ulm 1846's Niclas Monschke got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Friesenwerdermoor's Iwan Dziechciowski was substituted for Pekin Energin. Niclas Monschke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, one of Friesenwerdermoor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Friesenwerdermoor. Niclas Monschke placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! A collision led to SSV Ulm 1846 getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Don Merlot hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Don Merlot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prospero Goethe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Monschke in the 84th minute of play. After 88 minutes Friesenwerdermoor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven-Olof Lilja who took care of the corner kick. 89 minutes into the match, Niclas Monschke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prospero Goethe. Friesenwerdermoor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niclas Monschke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. If Niclas Monschke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Artur Schade in the 96th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SSV Ulm 1846's Jose Ramon Talcao. The supporters of Friesenwerdermoor booed when SSV Ulm 1846 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Ramon Talcao didn't get a good kick on the ball. SSV Ulm 1846 were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Friesenwerdermoor's much stronger midfield.
