The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Cordero came free, but Ovidiu Caranfil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 3rd minute of play. In the 8th minute of the match Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT got a corner. Club Vertigo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fisica UNT's corner Joaquín Ybarra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ovidiu Caranfil quite easily take care of the ball. Ovidiu Caranfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Cordero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 14th minute of play. Ovidiu Caranfil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Cordero in the 22nd minute of the match. Martín Ferreyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ovidiu Caranfil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Vertigo's Sabin Corcoveanu got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ovidiu Caranfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Cordero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Vertigo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joaquín Ybarra was slow to take the kick. During this time Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's players had a chance to rest. Dražen Ladić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Well-Well Benne in the 34th minute of the match. Club Vertigo's Wang Jun Bo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dražen Ladić in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 45th minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Marcelo Cordero took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Ovidiu Caranfil to make any attempt to save it. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Club Vertigo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joaquín Ybarra took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Maximo Bertol got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ovidiu Caranfil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Marcelo Cordero came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Cordero couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Cordero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ovidiu Caranfil. That made the score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Fabinho Pernambucano notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil. Ovidiu Caranfil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Club Vertigo's Nistor Iftimescu got a free kick in the 76th minute. Ovidiu Caranfil made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Fabinho Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 79 minutes, Fabinho Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabinho Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ovidiu Caranfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dražen Ladić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Panțuru in the 82nd minute of play. Ovidiu Caranfil was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabinho Pernambucano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 84 minute of play. Ovidiu Caranfil made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Fabinho Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. In the 91stth minute of the game Fabinho Pernambucano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Fabinho Pernambucano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidiu Caranfil was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT played a much better game than Club Vertigo and deserved their victory. The Club Vertigo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
