In the 3rd minute Gustavo Birila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Westerstrand in the 5th minute of play. The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Obscurials's Zheng Chao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save The Obscurials from getting a goal against them. Medero Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zheng Chao having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Adriano Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jean Van Damme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd match minute, The Obscurials was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Sandström to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes, Papillon AC's Gustavo Birila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zheng Chao came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Papillon AC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Wright in the 42nd minute of play forced Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Papillon AC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Silvestre Roland hit a great ball. Papillon AC's Jean Van Damme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Ribeiro in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Zheng Chao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zosimo Vadillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd match minute, The Obscurials was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anders Westerstrand to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Papillon AC's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Westerstrand came free, but Jean Van Damme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When The Obscurials's Anders Westerstrand, in the 58th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for The Obscurials. After a rather tough play, The Obscurials's Stig Sandström got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Birila in the 60th minute of play forced The Obscurials's goalkeeper Zheng Chao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zheng Chao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zosimo Vadillo in the 62nd minute of play. The Obscurials's Zheng Chao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Birila in the 64th minute of play. Zheng Chao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Birila in the 66th minute of the match. The Obscurials were furious when Fabian Spânu was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The Obscurials's Angelo Eiró was substituted for Cliff Rowden. 74 minutes into the game, one of The Obscurials:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Zheng Chao had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Gustavo Birila's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Zheng Chao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Birila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Medero Medina in the 82nd minute of play forced The Obscurials's goalkeeper Zheng Chao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Medero Medina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Zheng Chao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Gustavo Birila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zheng Chao was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Papillon AC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
