When Dani Cáceres fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Delfines's protests and gave Dani Cáceres a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Los Delfines got a freekick which was hit by Dani Cáceres. A hard shot by Thomas Avila from long distance, 46 minutes into the match, got Matías Patrone's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Oliver Bierhoff kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oliver Bierhoff was the one to do the kick off. Zachary Pliszka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cirilo Demario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Lucas Ferreyra made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Santos Goito. Los Delfines's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
